Early Language Therapy focuses on helping young children - typically ages 0 to 3 - develop the foundational skills they need to understand and use language effectively.
We blend playful, child-led therapy with hands-on caregiver coaching. By showing you how to turn everyday moments - like snack time, bath time, and play - into language opportunities, we equip you with simple strategies to guide your child’s total communication growth at home.
Signs your toddler may benefit from early language support:
Speaks fewer than 50 words by 24 months
Struggles to join two words together (e.g., "more juice," "go bye-bye") by age 2
Show signs of frustration when attempting to communicate
Not babbling or using many sounds

Receptive language is how a child understands the world around them—including following directions, answering questions, and grasping new concepts. Expressive language is how they share their thoughts, using vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure to express themselves.
Unlike early intervention, this therapy focuses on the specific language demands of school-age children, helping them thrive both socially and academically.
Your child may benefit from language therapy if they:
Have a limited vocabulary compared to peers their age
Struggle to follow multi-step instructions or answer questions accurately
Have difficulty forming sentences, using correct grammar, or organizing their thoughts
Have a diagnosis of a receptive or expressive language impairment
-
Speech challenges—whether related to articulation, phonological patterns, or motor planning (apraxia)—can make it difficult for a child to be clearly understood. We blend structured technique with play-based activities to help children master clear speech while having fun.
This service is a great fit for children who:
Are hard to understand for family, teachers, or friends
Substitute, drop, or distort specific sounds (like "r" or "s") past the expected age
Continue to struggle with broader speech patterns or phonological rules
Express self-consciousness or frustration about how they sound
Have a diagnosis of a speech sound disorder or apraxia of speech

Some children process language differently. Instead of building language word-by-word, they learn in whole phrases or "chunks" - often picked up from favorite movies, songs, books, or everyday conversations. This is known as Gestalt Language Processing (GLP), and it is a completely natural, valid path to communication.
Children who are Gestalt language processors often use scripts, repeat memorable phrases, or swap pronouns (like saying "You want juice" to mean "I want juice"). Rather than trying to change how your child learns, our GLP-informed therapy honors their unique communication style, using it as a foundation to help them build flexible, spontaneous speech over time.
Your child may benefit from GLP-informed therapy if they:
Repeat phrases, dialogues, or songs from media or adults
Speak in full phrases or "chunks" rather than single words
Use rich intonation or melodic contours when speaking or scripting
Consistently mix up pronouns (like using "you" for "I")
Are autistic or neurodivergent and show distinct language processing patterns
